Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He was a celebrated personality during his time and joined the ranks of Charles Dickens, Ernest Hemingway, Rudyard Kipling and a lot more, as one of the most translated authors of his time.

So Fables didn't have a hard time to capture the hearts and minds of a lot of people. The books original title was The Merry Men and Other Tales and Fables which was published in 1887.

The collection contained short stories which captured the imagination of the people during his time. The stories found in Fables include The Merry Men, Will O' the Mill, Markheim, Thrawn Janet, Olalla and The Treasure of Franchard.
